Bereavement Ministry Team gives support to members by listening and walking with them as they deal with grief and loss of family or friends.

Book Club ministry meets the 4th Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm to share fellowship, lively discussion and laughter.

Building & Grounds Ministry Team maintains the interior and exterior of the Church building, landscaping and church grounds.

Care Cards Ministry Team meets in the library between services on the first Sunday of the month. Sending messages of consolation and inspiration to those in need, who are on our weekly prayer list as well as monthly cards to the homebound.

Caring for Creation Ministry Team is a way of life for all at Galilee. We raise awareness and implement programs for Galilee to become more environmentally friendly.

CCWC Meals Program Ministry Team serves a meal four times a year as part of the Cooperating Congregations of Waukesha County.

Choir ~ Handbell rehearses Wednesday evenings (except during the summer), and shares the gift of music at several services throughout the year.

Communications Ministry Team shares the good-news of Galilee’s ministries with the congregation and community through brochures, the website, the Galilean newsletter, press releases and advertisements.

Congregational Fellowship Meals Ministry Team organizes receptions for special events of the church.

Cover Girls Ministry Team meets the 2nd & 4th Thursday of the month to make quilts which are donated to Lutheran World Relief.

Dartball Ministry Team meets Tuesday evenings from October through March to play dart-ball and share snacks with other Dart-ball teams in Lake Country.

Education Ministry Team supports all education ministries.

El Salvador Partnership Ministry Team supports Galilee’s partnership with our sister Parish—Los Martires in the Community of Monsenor Romero.

Fellowship Time Shopping Ministry Team purchases and organizes supplies that are used for coffee fellowship time and congregation meals.

Funeral Meal Ministry Team prepares and serves meals for receptions that follow funerals held at Galilee.

Gardens of Galilee Ministry Team plans and executes plantings on the church grounds.

Games at River Hills Ministry Team provides fellowship by visiting, and playing card & board games with residents at River Hills West Healthcare Center in Pewaukee.

Go Getters Ministry meets at noon on the 2nd Thursday of the month. Persons that are 50+ share a pot-luck meal & fellowship, play cards and gather for special events like trips to Fireside Theater at Christmas.

Healing Prayer Ministry Team offers Healing Prayer services during Advent, the Lenten season and summer on Wednesday evenings.

Health & Wellness Ministry is conducted the first full weekend of every month, or during the week by appointment.

Historian of Galilee Ministry Team organizes and preserves the photos and documents of Galilee Lutheran Church.

Kid’s Kits Ministry Team creates clipboard coloring & crayon kits for children to use during worship services.

Library Ministry Team organizes and maintains the library located next to the offices.

Luther Manor Auxiliary Ministry Team lends support to Luther Manor’s ministry through prayers, gifts and service.

Meals for Healing Ministry Team prepare and deliver meals to members recovering from surgery or those otherwise needing help.

Men’s Bible Study Ministry meets the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of every month to study the Bible and share fellowship.

Mission Endowment Fund Ministry Team implements the guidelines of the Mission Endowment Fund.

Mt. Meru Coffee Project is a partnership between Lutherans of the Milwaukee Synod (ELCA) and the Diocese of Meru (ELCT) in Tanzania. Coffee grown on the slopes of Mt. Meru is purchased directly from small farmers, shipped to Milwaukee, roasted to order, then distributed to consumers through “Ambassadors” in 60+ congregations and supporters nationwide. “Justice Never Tasted so Good”.

Mutual Ministry Team serves to strengthen and support our shared ministry through reflection, mutual growth and open communication with our pastors through prayer, sharing Galilee’s vision, serving as liaison with the Leadership Board and developing a continuing education plan.

New Member Welcoming Ministry Team supports new members of Galilee by acting as an informal mentor to make new members feel welcome, and to answer questions about the many ministries at Galilee.

Nursery During Worship Ministry Team serves at the 10:45am Worship Service on most Sundays. An adult volunteer serves in the Quiet Room with younger children for those parents who seek worship time alone.

Offering Counters Ministry Team secures, counts and records weekly offerings after worship services.

Pewaukee Food Pantry Ministry Team collections are the first full weekend every month.

Pocket Crosses Ministry Team creates stitched pocket crosses to share with visitors and anyone in need of a reminder of God’s love.

Prayer Chain Ministry Team initiates a “chain of prayers” to support our congregation and their loved ones who are in need of additional prayer support.

Prayer Shawl Ministry Team creates knitted and knotted shawls that are blessed, and then gifted to anyone who is in need of spiritual well being as a tangible reminder of God’s presence, care and love.

Rafiki Ministry Team helps establish refugee families into the community. Support includes assistance with finding housing, employment and schooling.

Stewardship Ministry Team identifies, plans and executes the annual stewardship campaign.

St. Paul’s Community Night ministry meets the third Wednesday of every month by carpooling from Galilee at 4:45pm, returning about 8:30pm. The ministry is a fellowship with our urban partner in which we prepare & share a meal, sing songs and make crafts and share fellowship with our inner city brothers & sisters in Christ.

Sunday School is held at 9:15am every Sunday during the “school year”.

Sunday Morning Refreshments Ministry serves coffee, juice & treats between Sunday Morning services throughout the school year.

Tanzania Partnership Ministry Team supports Galilee’s partnership with our sister Parish—Ndoombo Parish in Meru, Tanzania.

Teddy Bear Ministry Team shares love and caring for those in need of emotional support by having stuffed teddy bears in the pews available for people to take home to keep, or to share with someone who could use a hug.

Transportation Ministry Team give people a ride to church giving a “lift” both literally and spiritually.

Vacation Bible School offers Christian education through Bible study, crafts and games.

Visitation Ministry Team reaches out to members who are homebound or ill by visiting them regularly.

Visitor Welcoming Team reaches out to visitors by preparing visitor Welcome Bags which includes information about Galilee.

SOPHIA/WISDOM Ministry Team seeks to form a community of neighbors who can, through education, advocacy and action, make our communities places where everyone has a chance to succeed.

Women’s Bible Study meets the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month at 7:30am to study the Bible and share fellowship.

Worship Ministry Team supports the pastors and congregation during worship services. Roles include Acolyte, Assisting Minister, Communion Assistant, Greeter, Lector and Usher.

Youth Ministry Team plan and coordinates youth activities for elementary, middle-school and high-school students, including annual mission trip and youth gatherings.

Youth Ensemble rehearses Tuesdays, is open to all upper elementary & middle school students.
