January 15th (2012) Message from the Call Committee:
Your Call Committee has held a practice interview session That went very well and we learned a lot about how to choose our questions and what to look for in the answers. We met this past week with a reprentative from the Synod office and received the Rostered Leader Profile for two candidates and a promise for additional candidates. We will be setting up interviews in the next couple of weeks. Please keep us and our deliberations in your prayers. We will continue to keep you informed through announcements like this and through the Call Process tab on the Galilee web site.
December 3rd (2011) Message from the Call Committee:
Your Call Committee has been meeting for the past three weeks. The first meeting, we received our charter from the Leadership Board and further guidance from Pastor Chuck Brummond, Director of Rostered Leadership for the Greater Milwaukee Synod. Since then, we have been working on reviewing the MET report and formulating the questions we plan to discuss with each of the pastor candidates. The next step will be to hold a “practice interview” with one of the pastors from one of the churches in our neighborhood and to refine our questions. We understand that Synod has a set of candidates they intent to propose to us when we are ready. We hope to begin our interviews soon after the first of the year. Of course, the names of the candidates will be kept confidential until we are ready to announce our decision to the Leadership Board and to the congregation. Until then, please keep us and our deliberations in your prayers. We will keep you informed through worship service & newsletter announcements, and through the Call Process tab on the Galilee web site.
